About Health Care Coverage of Black and Hispanic Young Adults Under the Expanded Dependent Care Provision of PPACA Project
Health Care Coverage of Black and Hispanic Young Adults Under the Expanded Dependent Care Provision of PPACA is a secondary data analysis project which examines rates of health insurance coverage among black and Hispanic young adults after regulations changed requiring plans to offer coverage to dependents to age 26 and implications for diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions, both nationally and in New York State.
This project is part of the Promoting Culturally-Competent Policy Research initiative goal, which seeks to conduct policy-relevant health services research in order to promote the cultural competence of mental health services in New York State.
Project details
Data analysis is completed and a peer-reviewed journal article is under revision. Deliverables will include a peer-reviewed publication on national findings and a Cultural Competence Matters report specific to New York State.
